John Newby Named President and COO at Mullis Newby Hurst LP
Addison, Texas (May 15, 2013) – Mullis Newby Hurst LP (MNH), recently promoted John W. Newby to President and Chief Operating Officer of the organization — one of the largest writers of construction insurance and surety bonds in the Southwest.
Newby began his career with MNH in 2002, as Executive Vice President and Partner. Prior to that, he was the Regional Vice President for Chicago based NAS Surety Group.
Newby takes pride in being a very hands-on leader. He has established a collaborative culture at MNH that focuses on teamwork rather than hierarchy. This teamwork has resulted in outstanding results for MNH customers.
“Mullis Newby Hurst has enjoyed tremendous success since its beginning in 2002. I welcome the opportunity to guide our experienced team as President while MNH continues to expand our markets and service our customers,” said Newby.
The 44-year old President and COO graduated from the University of Michigan and completed his MBA at Pepperdine University.
Sam Mullis, CEO of Mullis Newby Hurst said, “We appreciate all the leadership John has provided during our first eleven years and look forward to continued growth and exceptional customer service with him as President of MNH.”
