DALLAS – (June 26, 2015) – Dallas Business Journal held a luncheon today announcing the Top 100 Companies in the DFW Metroplex who are finalists for the 2015 Best Places to Work. Over 450 companies were nominated for consideration. With a superhero theme for the event, MNH was honored as #6 in the Small Business Category.
Five words describing its company culture: Fun. Team-focused. Loyal. Service/solutions-oriented. Proactive.
Employees know they are valued at Mullis Newby Hurst as the company proactively seeks employee input; individuals have a lot of personal interaction with the CEO (planned group luncheons among other things) and an employee annual Christmas party and spring Anniversary party which includes spouses/significant others.
Senior leaders take concrete steps to create a great work environment for all employees. A FUN Committee was created to keep things engaging with a wide range of diverse activities; the culture focuses on teamwork rather than hierarchy and there is an Open Door policy.
If you had to describe MNH in 30 seconds to someone you meet at a cocktail party it would be: An independent agency with one of the largest teams in the Southwest dedicated to insurance and surety bonding for the construction industry, a niche market for this industry leader.
There is a long list of popular perks at MNH among which are flextime/generous PTO; Christmas bonus; office celebrations; kitchen stocked with cokes/water/popcorn; summertime Bermuda shorts every Friday; early closings before holidays and underground free parking – to name a few.
When asked how being a Best Place to Work affects our bottom Line, CEO Sam Mullis replied: “Happy employees = happy customers and happy customers = continued business relationships/customer growth”.
One sentence that expresses what makes our company one of DFW’s Best Places to Work is: We are a true business partner with our clients and our employee team.
The super hero that best represents our office would be The Mighty MNH – ordinary people doing extraordinary things for their customers and each other!
